What is with this rain?? July 19 or Day 92

We got up at around 0800 hours, and packed up.   We headed towards Provincetown, MA, but ended up in Warwick, RI to eat and fuel…when…a massive storm cloud appeared suddenly and literally rolled over top of us!   The skies opened up with torrential rain and a very impressive lightning/thunder show.  We thought we could wait it out, but the rain just kept coming, and it was really heavy.  Eventually after an hour and a half we decided to find a HIE and call it a day.  We ended up having to ride 15 miles in really bad rain, with poor visibility and dangerous drivers.  We were both thrilled to stop.  We unpacked and laid out all our equipment (sleeping bags, bed rolls, jackets, etc) to dry.  It reminded us both of our rides in Oregon.  Brutal!  I’m sure tomorrow will be better…or I hope so at least!
